hello guys, i think it is the right tiime to start our discussion on various topics takin one at a time,,, i think it is a good idea and good times to start the above said;; we will start discussing from the theory using some numericals too.... it will be good for those who miss discussions held by tarin on that chat room,,
also let us first start with 11th topics so that we may be best helped from 11theesss.
i think i need ur views on how this discussion can be improved,,,
let us start with waves ,,,,,,
keep posting the metter in the order of the chapter......

waves are simply a disturbance which can be transmitted to a distant region using a suitable medium

also always remeber that waves never ever destoy each other,,,,
when ever they meet,
they just redistribute their energies.....

there are two types...transverse and longitudinal transverse need no medium to travel while longitudinal waves do

come on guys:
waves can broadly be classified into two ways:
transverse and longitudinal depending on their ways of trnasmission,,,,,,
please post guys by continuing the theory and usin some illiustrations.......

good akhil,
now transverse travel perpendicular to the direction of the particles of their medium
and longitudinal along length
that si:
they travel parallel to the direction of the dispalecment of their particles::::::::

sound waves are longitudinal hence they cannot travel in vacuum

depending on the requrement of medium, waves can be classified as mechanical and non mechanical.....
mechanical wo jo medium require karti hain
and non mechanical those not requiring medium to travel eg light waves,,,,,,,
in this discussion, we will talk abt mechanical ones.........

A wave can be expressed in sinusoidal form
x=Asin(wt-kx)
velocity and can be expressed by differentating wrt x
