Two bodies A and B are thrown simultaneously with the same speed. The mass of A is greater than the mass of B suppose the air exerts a constant and equal  force of resistance on two bodies. then how will A go higher than B? How is here mass related to height?

sikha
Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom.

YEAH.................

the force of resistance is the same............

since mass of B is lower..............

and force can be taken const, for A and B.........

acceleration of B will be higher than of A...........

So,

A will go more high.......................

'ope you got it..................

and pls rate me........................thanks ...........

yaar as air resistance is equal and speed is same so i think both will go upto the same height coz force of gravitation is independent of mass

Effective acceleration of the bodies
aA = g+R/mA
aB = g+R/mB

Height attained by the bodies
HA = u2 /2aA
HB = u2 /2aB

Let mA >mB
g+R/mA < g+R/mB
u2 /2aA > u2 /2aB
HA >HB

Hence the heavier mass attains greater height.

Sorry for that redundant term "effective acceleration". It should be acceleration.
Got a bit carried away

And thanx krishna

speed is same
force is constant
mass of a is higher
