A football is thrown in a parabolic path. Is there any point at which the acceleration is parallel to the velocity?Perpendicular to the velocity?

In case of a projectile the force acting on the ball is only and only mg (neglecting the air drag) so the net acceleration is also in the downward direction ... always.

However the velocity keeps on changing evey instant. At the highest point is parrallel to the plane and hence perpendicular to the dir. of acceleration.

The velocity is never parrallel to dir of acceleration unless it is thrownn directly upwards (not a projectile)/

There is no better feeling in this world than being a winner!
