prove velocity rates assured
None

The transverse wave are described by equation

y = a sin 2 [ ft - x/]

The maximum velocity is 4 time s  the wave velocity if

Ans   = (pi a)/2

Please give me a detailed solution rates assured

here wave velocity= distance/ time taken= wavelength/time period
and max. velocity= aw, where w= ang. velocity.
now by equating, we get, aw=4L/T.(L= wavelength)
replace w= 2(pie)/T, u'll get the required ans.
