A man of 60 kg is sitting on a light scaffold chair attached to one end of a massless inextensible rope. The force with which he should pull down the other end of the rope, which passes over a smooth pulley so that he achieves an upward acceleration of 0.2m/s2 is?

a- 30N     b- 300N      c-3000N        d-6000N

Let he pulls the rope with force F (The string will pul him up by an equal force F) so tesion in string is also F. So Net upward force is 2F
2F=600N
So F=300N
