question on collision of rolling(without slipping)bodies

how to proceed if we have a question on collision of rolling bodies with stationary objects such as the wall, the staircase etc..????

if collision is elastic K.E of rolling body will not change..
and K.E of a rolling body is equal to the
Sum of Translation K.E and Rotaional K.E ...
if collision is not perfect then coefficent of restitution will be given..
If possible post some questions ...

firtly see that if collision is elasatic,inelastic or perfectly inelastic. then if inelastic,given 'e' coeficient of resitution.then for velocity apply formula given in HCV.i.e.v=(m1+m2)eu1/m1+m2

apply conservation of linear momemtum if the collision is elastic

It is same as the linear collision just the K.E. involved is a little more (due to rotation 1/2  I w2) rest is same..

and rest all eq.s are same!!

for solutions of particular problems, just post them!!
