relative acceleration in pulley (see description)

Suppose a pulley fixed to ceiling has a block attached at one end and pulley-2 at the other. Pulley-2 has further m1 and m2.Nothing fancy, all strings and pulley are massless. Now suppose the pulley system moves down(beware, no force is applied other than gravitational) with acc = a. What im interested in is why the relative acceleration of the string (or masses) in pulley-2 does not equal net drive over net mass (m2.g - m1.g)/(m1 + m2). And yes, relative being from a frame of reference moving down with a. Is it the pseudo force? can any1 elaborate?

It will be NET DRIVE over NET MASS!!!

in relative to the pulley-2

but the pulley-2 will not have acc. = a..

coz there too, the acceleration will be NET DRIVE over NET MASS with respect to Pulley 1!!!

and the net acc. will be taken!!!!
