2 solid spheres of each  radius r are kept in contact moment of inertia of d system about a tangent passing thru d point of contact is  [ans 14/5mr^2]

  a block of mass 2kg hangs frm d rim of a wheel of radius 0.5m on releasing  frm rest d block falls thru 5m height in 2s d moment of inertia of d wheel will be

   a a disc of massM & radius R rolls on a horizontal surface & den rolls  up an inclined plane if d velocity of d disc is ' v ' d height to which d disc will rise  will be [ ans 3v^2/4g]

 a circular  disc of radius R & thickness R/6 has moment of inertia I about an axis passing thru  its centre &  to its axis of d cylinder when its length is 6 times its radius R is [ans 49 MR2   /4

1. MI of one sphere about center = 2/5mr2

MI of one sphere about tangent = 2/5mr2+mr2 = 7/5mr2
Hence MI of two spheres about the same axis = 14/5mr2

2. For the block, the equation is

mg-T = ma

For the wheel:

TR = Ia/R
Use kinematics equations to make use of the given conditions and get your answer.

3. Conserve energy

4. Use mass = area x thickness, and go ahead with the normal MI calculations.

Will nip in at times to solve problems :)

how much time does it take you people to type 'the' instead of 'd' and 'through' instead of 'thru'........
