x=sin3

when =2(pie)n where n=0, 1, 2.....
sin3 =0

when =2(pie)n + pie/2

x=1

when =2(pie)n - pie/2
x= -1
Hence it is SHM, with point of equilibrium at x=0
Amplitude x=1

No.The acceleration will not be proportional to displacement from the mean position which is the required condition.Acceleration is found by differentiating the equation twice.

For a equation to follow periodic motion the following equation must the periodic motion the following equation must hold true:
a = -omega^2x where x represents the equation of the motion
to find the acceleration one has differentiate twice :
on differentiating two times we get:
a = 6omega^2sin(omega*t)cos^2(omega*t)-3omega^2sin^3(omega*t)
this equation doesn?t clearly is equal to = -omega^2x
Therefore the motion is not simple harmonic or periodic
---Hope this Helps

of course the motion is periodic.one doesn't need rocket science to prove it.after all its just a sine function which is of course periodic.please give some reward for this simple solution of mine
