None

is their any trick how 2 solve chain type probs...i.e,

chain hanging half frm talble(friction/less)....

no matters if anybody tell me the source...

u have to apply conservation of energy and consider the energy of COM of the hanging part.....

Always remember that chain is homogenous. That means if 2/3 chain is hangin then 2/3 mass is hanging and so on.

Also remember that com of the hanging part is at the centre of the hanging part, i.e. if l/2 chain is below the table (Consider length is l) then the com would be at distance l/4 from the table.

Most of the problems could be solved by applying basic laws like conservation of energy, conseravation of momentum, conversion of KE to Pe (or the other way) etc.
