hii
i think that
generally bullets that are fired ,comes back with much less force due to less mass.

manipulate every aspect

the velocity by which these bullets are fired is very much , but as they are fired in the upward diretion they have to fight against the gravitational force to attain a certain height. the energy with the bullets becomes near by zero when it attains maximum height. and as its comes downs it has got very less energy because of which it does'ntt harms anyone...........        Might be????????

You cannot control circumstances.....
But you can control thinking over them......

Being curious about the happenings around is the best way to learn physics...keep it up.

now bout the question,

When you solve questions of free fall, u generally neglect air resistance..

the air resistance is a function of velocity of the moving bullet, (generally proportional to first, or second power of v). As the bullet has really high vel, it will encounter a very high resistance.. and will slow down sooner than expected in free fall... so it will attain lesser height.... and hence when it falls down.. it is falling down, it attains much less vel, so has much less momentum.. hence less harmful. also, the resistance slows it further down as it falls down.

secondly, large amount of heat is generated (can u gess where this heat comes from... try to relate with energy conservation) and this may melt or break or deform... etc... the bullet.

well , I also believe that bcoz of very high velocity of the bullet , it faces very large air resistance . This heats up the bullet and deforms it .And its landing is very well explained by sudeep . Well , thanks 4 asking this question . Keep asking such kind of interesting questions !!!!!!!!!

i didnt get u ..i remember i had asked this question to my physics miss the the scool even she couldnt answer...
see ne body takes the same time which it took to go up while coming down...
so if t =t' displacement s=s' then modulus of the velocity must also be the same
there for the bullet comes down wid the same velocity....rather it would
but taking this thing into consideration the bullets are designed such tht get distroyed wen they reach the max height..thi is they burst them selves...so they come down in the form of fractions....
please tell me if ne one has got more information abt it

names neil.....neil sabnis
