x/3 cos 40

where x & y are in cm and t in seconds

The separation between two adjacent nodes are

Ans 3 cm

Comparing it with
y =asin(kx)cos(wt)
we get k=2

/3
So

= 3cm
Distance between nearest nodes =

/2=1.5 cm
