There is no connection between the two forces. Centripetal force is the force which keeps a body moving in a circular path, while the gravitational force causes weight of a body.

There's gr8 difference....

Centripetal force acts along the centre....

 

it is just a force lyk upward force or dwnward force....& it does not hav its own mag. smthing lyk firction etc. has 2 cause (i.e. it is only specifies the direction...)

 

Gravitational is a type which has its own magnitude.....

Lyk Tension is an electromagnetic force having sum magnitude.....& It might b a cause of centripetal force on a body.....
