answer can be given biologically most of the fuction which our hands perform are due to presence of thumb now the nerve cell (the receptors and transmiter)present in our thumb are highly modifed as compared to that of finger hence even a small impulse can generate movement in our thmb(try it) but when it comes to finger the transmitter are not so modified even though the receptors are comparatively good now when a small impulse is generated from our brain ,it are not utilized properly so it requires a little bit more concentration .i.e. more impulse are sent ot perform work so we find it difficult
