Initially the base is the 20 * 10 surface
Finally the surface on which it stands is the 10 * 8 one
Hence work done in order to make it lie with the longest side vertical is = [5 * 10 * 6 ] / 100 {Initially height is 8 cm .....later it becomes 20 cm so shift of c.o.m = 6 cm}
= 3 J

All that is gold does not glitter
Not all who wander are lost
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by frost.
From ashes a fire shall be woken
From shadows a light shall spring
Renewed shall be blade that's broken
The crown less again shall be king. |
