Reason (R) : In that case mass of the particle

will be reduced to zero

Reason is false
mass will become infinite...

M = Mo / sqrt (1 - v^2/c^2 )
as v approaches c ..the denominator approaches 0
so Mass approaches infinity.

good point spidey

but @author, u mean which mass???
if it is rest mass then the answer in my previous post
and if u mean mass at the time when it is moving with speed of light, then spidey got it

so specify mass properly please

In that case mass of the particle will be reduced to zero.
