single crystal:-in which periodicity of the pattern extends throughout the piece of crystal. their size vary frm a fraction of cm to a few cm. they cannot be seen with naked eyes

poly crystals:-it is the aggregate of the mono crystals whose well developed faces are joined together. eg ceramics
