In an atom for the orbiting electron the coulombic force of attraction between electron and nucleus acts as a centripretal force.

Thus,

centripeatal force = mv²/R = Ze² /4

₀R²

Where R = radius of orbit

v = linear velocity of electon

e = charge of electron

Z = atomic number of the atom.
