work function of certain materials are known.

By bombarding these materials with a certain fixed frequency more than the threshold freq, we observe emission of photoelectrons. and by measuring their velocity, their Kinetic energy is calculated. Now using Einsteins formula

hv=Wo+KE... we can get h

One can also use the Schrodinger's equation

No dude,it is not possible since Einstein proposed this equation after Planck gave the value of his constant..........

Plank's constant refers to the smallest area, possible in the six dimensional 'hyper'-space! It is calculated taking the three unit vectors, and their conjugates viz. x,px  y,py and z,pz. Thus 6 diamensions are possible, and hence Planck's constant is calculated with help of  VECTOR-CALCULUS, assigning to it a unit of action.

U can also consult 'Vector Algebra' by Frank-Ayers. there the solution is given!

PLZ  RATE IF U CAN UNDERSTAND!!!

@Antony Ajay quote=No dude,it is not possible since Einstein proposed this equation after Planck gave the value of his constant..........

planck never gave the valu of his constant...Millikan calculated the value from einstein's eqn..

it came to my attention quite recently, that einsteins miracle papers of 1906 are attributed not onnly for proof of planks theory but also planks constants value...
