in moseley's eqn do a and b depend on the metal ???
None

according to me 'a' is independent as it is the proportionality const but 'b' must be dependent.
I consulted 2 different books but both hav different answers !
pls help !!

a and b are both constants with respect to the metal but they vary with respect to the various lines such as K_{alpha} , K_{eta} or L_{alpha} but they don't vary if metal is different.
