Photoelectric effect
None

If photoelectron emitted from the surface of a certain metal by light of frequency 2.2*10^15 hz are stopped by a reverse potential  of 6.6V, the stopping potential when light of frequency 4.6*10^15 hz is used is..............

v=h*freq/e-work fn/e
put d given values n find d work function.
using work funcion, u can calculate the stopping potential for the given frequency.
try it out dude, n tell me if u get d right ans!!!

i meant-

v=1/e[h*freq - work function]

thats d formula for stoppin potential............

h(-o )=eVo      Vo =stopping potential
so according to first information =2.2*10^15
 so putting it in the eqn we get ho =h(2.2*10^15)-(6.6ev)
now given in second information =4.6*10^15
so h-ho =eVo
    or eV0 =26.4*10^-19   (putting all values
                                      and value of h0 will be constant for the 2 eqns..)
or V0 =16.5 V

rate if satisfied....
