pls explain this question...
None

In an X-ray set up accelerating potential difference is set at V volt and first a target metal having atomic no. Z1 is used then target metal having Z2 is used (  is wavelength of K X-ray from  target and   is wavelength of K, X-ray with Z2 target)
1.   If then
2.   If then
3.   The difference  and   will be same for both the target metals.

4.  If then

Solution:

  For Ka transition
 depends on

wavelength minimum is independent of the material used. it depends
on the accelerating potential. it is constant here

its simple ,just apply this formula:

root(c/wavelength)=a(Z-b)
for K shell b=1
now Z is inversely proportional to wavelength.so if

Z1<Z2=>lambda1-lamda(min)>lambda2-lambda(min)
so b) is right.

rate if satisfied

well i have a better method that needs no soln at all

in first two options the 2nd part is same so we conclude the ans should be either 1 or 2 then we consider 4 ans whose first part is quite similar to the 2nd ans therfore here u go ans is 2

plz rate me !!!!!!!!!!

i think i have given the best method to these kind of problems....it is known as jugar :)
