kinetic theory for thermal neutron as monoatomic gas molecule mv²/2 = 3kT/2

(k boltzman constant )or mv= (3kmT)^1/2 or de broglie wavelength = h/mv

wavelength₁/wavelength₂ = (T₂/T₁)^1/2 = (1200/300)^1/2 = 2 so wavelength at 927⁰C is half of the wavelength at 27⁰C.
