IIT coaching institute fined
FIITJEE Limited, a private coaching institute here, has been directed by a Comsumer Forum to refund the fee of a student, for enrolling him in a school that was not affiliated with CBSE. Shubham Vij, took admission in Pinnacle two-years integrated school programme for IITJEE with the institute, for which he paid a total sum of Rs 70,058. He was enrolled at Shivalik Public School in Chandigarh, by the institute and the classes commenced in April. He was charged Rs 14,350 . The complainant came to know that the school was granted provisional recognition by CBSE only till March. When he approached the school he was not given a satisfactory answer. He alleged that he was compelled to leave the school, just four months after admission.
