AIEEE diffrent than IIT. post here
None

IIT JEE is over.

Its time for AIEEE now....

for all aspirants who had been preparing for IIT, now its time to change gears for AIEEE.

It is altogether a diffrent exam, but what exactly is diffrent?

I request all the community members to post the diffrences, in sylabus, extra topics that are not covered in IIT, or even small concepts that might help other AIEEE aspirants.

My personal experience and adivce:

AIEEE is about speed, ... there always are stereotype questions, but they need to be attempted in minimum time, because of larger no. of quesions. It is advisabe to solve many and lots many mock tests for AIEEE.

CAUTION: BE PREPARED FOR A CHANGE IN PATTERN OF AIEEE EXAM. IT HAPPENED IN IIT, PATTERNS CAN CHANGE, AND DONT LET THIS SHOCK YOU.

in sri chaitanya coll they gave us this pattern1to 12 q 2 for correct n -1/2 fr wrong           13to 24 q 3 for correct n -3/4 for wrong                    25 to 35 q 4 for correct and -1 for wrong                    like that for maths n chemistry too              its an advantage

unlike iit which is esentially a low scoring exam , aieee is a high scoring one (so it BITS), so u can't afford to spend too much time for AIEEE questions, till u give IIT, u need crystal clear concepts and the intuition to apply concepts to any question that may come, but aieee requires accuracy over all, the time is little and the questions are many (even BITS) and u cannot afford to go wrong, u need to be quick and accurate ! so in the residual time try to develop these 2 virutes ! speed and ability to do a sum once and produce perfect result .... also , many aieee questions can be solved by 'street smart' methods, like checking option dimensions and the question dimensions, substituting the options in the questions, eliminating options and so on...just remember, ur final aim is to get the answer, how much brain power u use is immaterial, if there is a street smart method adopt it...i had a really good book (dun remember name) but it had amazing shortcut techniques, basically u cud check most crash course books, they have amazing shortcuts..u cud score 100-120 marks within the first 30 mins of the paper !! imagine that !! especially in chapters like geometry/physical chem/algebra/electricity/mechanics !!

@nitish

I was not aware about existence of books on these techniques. Can you/(or anyone) recall the name, or suggest some keywords to search for?

I believe a thread on such kinds of techniques must be existing here @goiit , can someone please link to it...

That would be much appreciated.

@Nisitsh - An elegant replyAnd to add to it - Remember that AIEEE and BITSAT are both based on NCERT syllabus - The first thing you need to do is try to complete the syllabus :) especially chemistry
