I'm from Trivandrum [ 201 kms from Kochi !] ...CUSAT is increasingly becoming popular among students who wish to pursue research in future..BUT IT DEPENDS ON YOUR COURSE AS TO WHETHER IT IS FAMED/NOT - GOOD/BAD......CUSAT is but palced below the IIT'S,NIT'S,BITS and some regional engineering courses [ including SCET,TVM and CET,TVM ] for most courses...BUT I RANK IT ABOVE THESE AS SUCH RANKINGS ARE SIMPLY BASED ON BIASED IDEAS.

It's upto you actually.. But i would suggest you to go for IIT.. An IIT tag is the biggest a guy can get..

The IIT tag matters brother. By the time you pass out they would have built a good reputation. Afte all they are taking in the cream of students. Then the MHRD spends a lot of money on IIT's to make it at par with the best in the world.

hmm..if u value ONLY an iit tag n not d coll stuff then u might as well chose iits..but i'd still say BITS-Pilani is better.

dear friend i would suggest u that go for bits pilani as the new iits has no placements yet and would not be havig experienced faculties bits pilani is on the sixth position and is more prefferable than new iits

man go 4 bits...stil it wld be bttr thn iits bcz thy r new...bt nt goin 4 iit u r missin tht 'IIT' tag whch evry1 wnts...bt bits wil stil gve u bttr plcmnts rite nw...or aftrwrds bcz mstly d birla grp picks d stdnts who passes out of pilani...its like thy train thm 4 joinin nly birla grp...so cheers...if u getin bits...nd evn if u gettin iit njy d iit tag nd d placemnts...

iit tag ios important .whatever iit u do ,u will get campus placements .who has seen future ,they will improve after wards .u will proud to do it from that iit
