I assume that U asked this question as u are neither too inclined for any branch.

I think you should go for CSE surathkal. It provides you better scopes than mathematics.

I mean you have many math subjects in CSE too.

However, if u'r strongly inclined for mathematics, do B.Math

Since you are good in maths you will enjoy both the branches as computer science also needs lot of analytical skills which we require in maths. If you want to take a job CS from Surathkal would be a good option, if you want to go deeply into maths ISI is definitely a better option.

I think you should go for CSE NITK

1) Cos CSE will involve a  lot of math and u can show ur math skills in this field.+ U ve got a top college like NITK

2) B math ..means ur going in a very narrow path.. u may not able to change ur path..

At this stage I think CSE is more versatile and safe and no one can stop u from doing complex math problems

U can see that many great mathematicians did not have a degree in mathematics.. they had odd jobs.. so u can move to math field even if ur a engineer.. but vice versa is impossible...

I think this should solve your problem..All the best !

Agree with Killer Kiran. I don't think it is absolutely necessary to have a Math degree to become a Mathematician.

CS involves a lot of Mathematics as well, I guess.

hey dear, since you are good in maths & if you want to pursue career in maths/statistics than isi is better option for you,as far as i know isi kolkata/banglore are unique institutes for statistics/maths & it takes just 30 peoples every year for B.math & these peoples have a unique value in the world. isi has high great global value & as far as placements are concerned i have heard isi students taken by multinational insurance companies with huge salaries even higher than core branches of iit's.

NITK(even IIT's) can't match isi's international repute(do you know father of modern statistics sir ronald fisher recieved his doctrate from isi kolkata & was regular visitor to the institute & there are many more such names but how many researcher/scientists you know from IIT's/NIT's???????)

choose NITK if & only if you have a dying ambition to be a software engineer.

i hope it helps.
