Quality of teaching, staff:
are 90% of the students from Ranchi and nearby region?
How is the college life?

I've seen the campus and the programs available, still anything more u can add i would like to know.

BIT mesra is a gud college.., one of the best in private.
but the biggest prob u will face there would be the area ... alll jungle around .. no mall , multiplexes n naxilite region..!!
btw whtz ur rank in aieee???

NIT Trichy is my top priority.

I got BIT Mesra in the first counselling round. Woo naxalites! I hope they don't interfere with the education department.

i am a student of bit mesra

there is no any such problem with naxalites whatsoever

they are not pevailent overhere.............

all such talks are worthless

the environment here is simply awesome, the campus is fully green and well equipped

and as far as faculty are concerned they are far better than lots of nits

it's worth studying mechanical here, it's placement is best in eastern region after iit kgp

and one thing everybody sud know that it has got a super computer param-10000 provided by govt of india to only few institutes in india

naxilites problem at mesra....u gotta be crazy dude!!!!!........there is none of this.....place is quite good...its outside ranchi....perfect place for a college.....nd if u want malls, multiplexes...they r just hour nd a half ride away!!!!

@Nisarg Bhatt : not 90% students are from ranchi....:) even its home state category closing rank of production etc. go upto 23k......so u can hv ur own conclusions...:)

ya ranchi is a fast developing city.........this city has each & every facilities like big metro cities in india has......

temp here @ ranchi is awesome & do not varies too much(especially @ mesra)...............lots of buses are running from mesra to ranchi(main city) within interval of 1/2 an hr or so......u really do not have to bother about transportation facilities here

About the supercomputer: How much access do the students have to the PARAM-10000?

param 10000 is basically used for research purposes................and also helps in managing institute's wide spread computing systems much efficiently.
