they want to ascertain as to which caste you belong to. You can apply for one from your Municipal Department.

just one more thing....i am from HINDU caste....do i have to show a certificate for that....?????????

My dear friend Hindu is not a caste,it is your religion .What I mean is you have to prove wheter you are OBC,SC/ST or not.

i am not OBC,SC/ST..etc...i have to give a certificate for that also......what the hell...??!!!!!

If u r from OC then probably u only hav to tell them by mouth.....if u want reservations then u hav to show certificates..

those from gen category dont need the certificate..

cetificate leke karenge bhi kya !!

In all other institutes if you do not bring a certificate you are treated as a General Candidate.So I suppose not. But I recommend you to enquire at SRM via Phone.
