Confusion: NITK Surathkal or BITS Pilani

None

Please suggest the best option for me from the following details. All opinions are welcome.

BITSAT 2009 Score = 311

AIEEE 2009 AIR = 8057 (overall)

Category = General

State = Orissa

In 2nd iteration of BITS, I got Electrical & Electronics Engineering at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus.

In 2nd round of AIEEE counselling, I got Metallurgy & Materials Engineering at NITK, Surathkal.

I expect to get Civil Engineering or may be Chemical Engineering at NITK, Surathkal in 3rd round of AIEEE counselling.

Chances are there that I may get Chemical Engineering at BITS Pilani, Pilani campus.

So, please suggest the correct option for me.

Join BITS Pilani if you get. Else BITS Hyd EEE : Hyd campus is coming up well and in a few yrs will bcome a top college... EEE is one of the best branches in BITS... in Hyd u hv profs from Pilani taking classes also....

If U get chemical Pilani, go for it. Or else either go for a dual at pilani or EEE at Goa or hyd.

I have only the above choices left. I haven't applied for BITS Pilani - Goa campus neither have I applied for Dual degrees at any campus. So, choices left with me are:

1. BITS Pilani - Pilani campus: Chemical Engg (hope for this but don't think I'll get it)

2. NITK, Surathkal - Metallurgy & Materials Engg (got this in 2nd round)

3. NITK, Surathkal - Civil Engg (may get this one)

4. NITK, Surathkal - Chem Engg (may get this one too)

5. BITS Pilani - Hyderabad campus: Electrical & Electronics Engg (don't want to take this since Hyd campus is not yet ready)

Dude!!! Its clear then. . .u dont want hyd. Campus. . .. .therefore its clear from ur choices. . Go for bits pilani if u get(which i think u definitely will) or else nit. . (since u don wanna go to hyd)

BPPC Chem - if you get then it will be in 4th iterationBPHC EEE > NITK Civil acc to me.. 4 yrs later wen u graduate.. BPHC will be at par with top NITs..
