Thank you for the reply, I have rated you.Guys, some more replies please, and be specific about which course. I was thinking whether EEE in Trichy or Chem. in BITS is better (in terms of academics, not too worried about job prospects)? Can I get mech in BITS?

Thanks, I have rated you. But one doubt, I have given BE(Chem) above duals in Pilani in choice list, does that mean if i get Chem, I wont be considered for lower options?

Thank you for replying, but I don't know if I will change because dual there is always risk of ending up with civil or manufacturing engg., don't want to take risk as I plan to study for iit next year..

if u get smethin of ur interest then its well n gud but still i'd say BITS-Pilani wud b better..u wud easily get chemical n civil there..no theres absolutely no risk in takin dual degrees xcept tat u wud have 2 study 4 d coll a bit more than others..u wont get civil or ne lower branch if u perform decently there..a cgpa of abt 7.5-8.3 wud fetch u ne branch of ur choice & tat isnt much of a task..u just need 2 b consistent..my frnd in my coll BITS-Pilani,Goa..he has a cgpa of 8.1 & he got iit AIR 4000 smethin..& he wasnt a nerd at all..u'll get enuf time to do all d things u wanna do-just dont lose sight of ur aim tats it..cheers

It depends on branch basically. If you take branch such as mechanical or Electrical then definitely you will get lesser time for studying for IITJEE. Go for the best college and institute because there might be slight possibility that you may not get a much better rank in IITJEE next year and moreover one more year will be wasted. Academically IIT trichy is regarded as best among NITs. IIIT hyderabad is other preferred choice.
