sorry............no 1 is BITS PILANI in private college ranking.........srm comes after a long list.....

yea........everyone claims to be first as amity,vit,srm and more.but first is which that not claim this thats bits pilani.. though i think everyone have its criteria for ranking...thatswhy they say so...

yeah every1 claims to be the no.1 nw

but srm is after a long list bits pilani is top in private colls

vt too is good n many other bt srm is not in top ones

i fully agree 2 wat nishant has said.Its TIMES OF INDIA who has conducted a survey among various enggg colleges in india and it has ranked SRM as d no 1 engg college... Its not SRM who said itself as no 1 college... It is jst usin d title given 2 dem by TIMES OF INDIS GFK MODE EDUCATIONAL SURVEY... So u cant blame SRM for it..Dats it... n 1 more important thing is dat u try 2 know on wat basis is d survey done.. it depends on infrastructure,placements MOU's wid different colleges etc..do rate if u lyk ma answer...

probably, on extraction of, srm may be no. 1. it is purely, marketing strategy. don't believe all these. the way srm conduct entrance exam, u can make out. u can aply till almost last day. within 10days it announce resuls.

i would say dat nt evry1 knws d real fact whch z we shd go by cgps gven to thes pvt. universities by naac....its simple...

srm is still nt A grade....bits pilani has cgpa of 3.71 ,vit has 3.25....srm z below 3....itz quite simple evry1 would save his/her coll. but cgpa ratings z d best neasure acc to me!!!!!!!!!!! rate guyz if u like d answer!

c dnt get botherd by these handful of private colleges lyk SRM nd AMITY or VIT projectin themselves as number 1....

BITS-p hasnt participated in many surveys lyk d IIT's....last year even a case was filed against TIMES....nd after dat BITS stopped takin part in their surveys....

d latest news is that --as d person above pointed---

the NATIONAL ACCREDITION COUCIL(NAC) has given BITS-P an outstanding 3.71/4 (3.71 on 4)---highest ever...so u decide d rest~!

every other collg claim dat they r d no.1 engg collg in india...but evrybdy knows who z d bst,iits no doubt--even tho they make no claims.....same z d case wid bits...

BITS has stopped participating in rankings..and as my dear junior vasanth has pointed out BITS has a NAC acrediation of 3.71/4 which is way higher than any other private engineering college..Not sure if IIT's participate in NAC accrediation
