actually i got 15214 rank in aieee.which is a better choice--- ece @ nit raipur( .but the college doesnt hav a very gud ranking).or 2 join a local engineering college and join a gud coaching institute 4 GATE or CAT in future????? i am really confused .plz help......

hmm. I would chose NIT raipur. ECE is a good branch, and this NIT is quite old, so you dont have to worry.

From my experience at BITS, I would also say meeting people from various parts of the country is another plus point. That is something you wont get in a local engineering college.

The only normal reasons I see anyone choosing some local college over an NIT are if your not getting a good branch or the NIT is very new (less than 4 years).

So go for the NIT. All the best! :)
