GITAM University (GAT) 2012 B.Tech Entrance Notification
Students who want to apply for GITAM University Admission Test (GAT), 2012 Entrance Exam are hereby informed that that the GITAM University has announced GAT 2012 Entrance Exam Schedule. Every year GITAM University Conducts GAT Entrance Exam for Admission to B.Tech Engineering Courses in GITAM University Vishakapatnam campus and Hyderabad campus.
Eligibility Criteria :
The following are the criteria for admission to B.Tech. Programs:
1. Pass in 10+2 / 12th examination from a recognized Central / State Board or its equivalent either in 2012 or 2011 subject to securing the following percentage of marks in specified subjects.
2. B.Tech. (except Biotechnology) Programs : A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and 1st Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination in single attempt.
3. B.Tech. in Biotechnology: A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry or Biology, Physics & Chemistry and 1st Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination in single attempt.
4. Rank obtained in GAT (UGT) 2012.
Note:
1. Candidates who are appearing for 10+2/12th examination in 2012 or who passed 10+2/12th examination in 2011 only are eligible. Students who passed 10+2/12th examination in 2010 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear for GAT (UGT) 2012.
2. Candidates seeking admission to B.Arch. program should qualify NATA exam
How to apply
1. GITAM GAT 2012 Online Applications :
Students can Apply online for GITAM University by filling the GITAM University GAT online Application Form.
2. GITAM GAT 2012 Applications Through Banks :
1. Applications are available throughout India in
1. Union Bank of India (List of Branches is available on the official website).
2. Indian Bank (List of Branches is available on the official website).
GITAM GAT 2012 Applications by Post :
1. Applications can be obtained by post from Director-Admissions by sending a request on plain paper giving the candidate’s name with complete mailing address accompanied by DD for Rs. 1,100/- (Rs. 700/- for female candiddates) drawn in favour of GITAM University payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank.
Request by post will be accepted till 5th March, 2012.
GITAM GAT 2012 Form Submission Procedure :
The filled – in application along with Demand Draft for Rs. 1,000/- (Rs. 600/- for female candidates), drawn in favor of GITAM UNIVERSITY, payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank, should reach Director-Admissions, GITAM UNIVERSITY, Gandhi Nagar Campus, Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam – 530 045, Andhra Pradesh, INDIA on or before 14th March, 2012.
