Karnataka CET 2012 slated for May 3, 4
The Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to undergraduate professional courses of academic year 2012-13 will be held on May 3 and 4.
Exam in Biology will be from 10.30 am to 11.50 am, while Mathematics exam will be held from 2.30 pm to 3.50 pm on Thursday, May 3. The same schedule will hold good for Physics (10.30-11.50 am) and Chemistry (2.30-3.50 pm) exam the next day.
The Kannada language test will be on Saturday, May 5. Horanadu Kannadiga candidates will have to appear for the test at 2 pm and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates at 4 pm. A detailed notification will be published in the second week of February, Minister for Higher Education V S Acharya said.
The application process will begin January end. The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), which conducts the exam, will only print the brochure with test information this time. The details of the seat selection process will be published on its website later.
The test fee, which is expected to remain unchanged, has to be paid at select bank branches. The KEA estimates that 1.20 lakh students will write the KCET exam.
