Challenge frm Plane mirror

A plane mirror is made of 3cm thick glas of ref.indx 1.5 with one face silvrd.what wil b th distanc of image,frm silvrd face,of th object at 6cm,fr0m unsilvrd face?explain?

n2/v-n1/u=n2-n1/R...........n2=1.5,n1=1,u=-6cm,R=infinity....solving we get v=-9cm...ie after refraction from the unsilvered face the image forms at a distance 9cm from the unsilvered face on the side where object is placed...it means the image is at a distance 9+3=12cm from the silvered face...this image acts as object and after reflection in the silvered face forms an image at a distance 12cm from the silvered face
