you cant see sun in noon and if sumhow you managed then you ll get it white.........and in evening due to dispersion we get red rays so sun appears us red.....

Its very simple. First of all let me provide you with the fact that the moon remains stationary w.r.t. earth from any particular point on earth. While sun is always in motion w.r.t. earth. Therefore we see sun as red ball during dawn and evening. Due to diffraction by particles present in atmosphere. And diffraction depends on position.

havent you heard that due to red wavelength hav min deviation so it dont deviate in sunset..it only reach to us and make sun red.

@Nishant. Moon is so close that we can't see dispersion and TIR ? What NONSENSE ! Please don't misguide Unique Gene.

Look,Who says moon is exactly white? It appears a bit yellow and orange. What CEO said must have been true IF moon would have looked exactly WHITE on full moon day instead of bieng orangish. First of all, sun is emmiting light of different intensities BUT the gap is generally not too wide. When the light reaches us, due to doppler's effect and also due to the scattering of light in atmosphere, blue colour is scattered and sun looks white at noon.In case of moon, as it is nearer to earth and is visible to us only because it reflects sun's light. So the doppler effect is 2 times. First between sun and moon and next when light comes from moon to earth. When night comes sun is behind and moon is in front of us.So as light ray approaches there is slight blue shift as the distance is short.HENCE MOON APPEARS WHITE DURING NIGHT.
