i think a/c = 3/4

as it is in x z plane.....quantity of j vanished,,,thien simply divide ua by ub............ =3/4

See in the figure and apply snell's law.....write sin i = a / 1.....similarlly sin r = c/1......

in above fig z axis is perpenicular to the plane outwards

u1.sin i = u2. sin r

1.5 (a/ sqrt(a^2 + b^2) ) = 2 (c/ sqrt(c^2 + d^2) )

since Ua and U b are unit vectors, so sqrt(a^2 + b^2) and sqrt(c^2 + d^2) both = 1

hence:

1.5 a = 2c

a/c = 4/3
