 water is denser medium than air for light..,thn in the case of sound,..Sound travels faster through a denser medium, because the propagation of sound is due to medium disturbance. Water, being a liquid, is denser than air, which is a gas.

Thats right, it is not true for sound as sound travels faster in denser medium and thus in water too. The reason is light is electomagnetic wave that is TRANSVERSE in nature whereas sound is LONGITUDINAL in nature.

Yes, denser medium and raremedium we can depeding on refractive indes.Velocity of sound is less than light

and it also depedns on medium

yes , that's right as sound travels faster in water than in air being a longitudinal wave.
