What is so special abt light having same speed, independent of velocity of source or observer?even sound waves behave the same way and only the frequency changes with motion of source or observer!

We know that light is a electromagnetic wave.it mean it consist of both electric and magnetic field and both are perpendicular and they propagate(travels). In this propagation their is a special phenomenon occurs that is both electric and magnetic fields cooperates helps each other and travels.the propagation is based on ampher-maxwells theory that is the flux generated in electric field produces magnetic field as well as the flux produced in magnetic field produces electric field as they both are produces each other so they propagates without any medium. "So from this its speed doesn't depends on the source velocity"so thats way its velocity doesn't changes when sours is moving.

see divya! you are so lucky to be answered by me. I think the speed of light is 3*10^8m/s. In fact light revolves around the earth 7 and half times within a second. So that is ridiculous. and the velocity of anything does not come into picture(either source or observer). Even if it comes its the MILLIONTH part of the lights speed and can be neglected. OK bai If you have doubt contact me at avinash007.basgmail
