Sir

I am a dropper & i hav not study Morison&Boyyd in last yrs

Now after facing a lot of problem in application of concepts,i hav taken that buk & started reading it from the beginning i.e from GOC

Some1 is saying me that i shud not go for this buk as the time remained for me is less & it's a bulky buk

So plz guide me that is i am on the right track or not

Shud i also solve the ques given in this buk or go for Arihant?

Secondly,as it is a Non JEE focussed buk so which topics shud i left from it.Means how to guess that which topics r not in our JEE syllabus(I am not able to ask this second ques in right words hope u understand wat i want to know)

Thirdly,shud i also make some self notes for me while reading the buk so that in future i can do revision easily?

Actually morrison n boyd is bulky. But if you are confident in other topics and only lacking organic chemistry then you have enough time to cover this book. But if you are in struggling stage then go for Arihant.

I got your 2nd question. Actually the book has been written deeply and hence the matters become bulky. Thats why i said if you can afford time particularly for organic then go through the topics given in the syllabus. Leaving some portion of the topics may make you less confident for which I would prefer Arihant rather than morrison n boyd.

And definitely you should make notes as they are very useful for revision. You take some 25-30 pieces of paper and put them randomly in a book. Every morning when you wake up whatever reactions you have learned yesterday try to write them by randomly picking those papers. Suppose you write some reactions and the page is half filled, after some days you'll encounter this page again as you are picking them randomly. So do that day's work and revise your previous days work. It will keep you in track.

Bhaiya actually my concepts in organic also (and in other parts of chemistry r very much clear).But as i lacked in practice & i am finding it to apply concepts in solving organic problem that's why my sir referred me this buk
Now i tell u my whoile situation
