toluene.due to the presence of a CH3 (methyl group) ,Inductive effect is more.that is it donates electrons to the intermediate phenyl cation and increases it's stability.

no2 is strongly deactivating.....so leave first option
of benzene n toulene......toulene activates benzene nucles..hence d ans

because of +m effect of ch3 group over benzene it increase density so the no2 which is electron seeking can attack
