both will have nearly equal boiling point it is melting point on which there s a concept...in case of alkanes!!!!also there is no H bonding or any other type of  interactions which are present only in one of the substrates basicallly they are similar in interacting with other species and thier own species !!!!! Only the size is slightly different so expectedly heptane has more BP than hexane

heptane has higher b.p 'coz its m.mass is more than hexane.

In case of m.p, the concept is that the alkanes with even no. of carbon atoms have more m.p than the adjacent alkanes having odd no. of carbon atoms.

yaar Tanuj, sorry if you meant the same thing. I will give a 2 pointer to you then.
But, your reply wasn't clear to me after the first line.

lol , both of u missed a small point that heptane has a higher boiling point not only because of its molar mass but becuase the molecule is bigger and has a greater surface area, as a result the Wan der Waals interactions(attractive) are more and hence it has a higher bp.

The boiling points of alkanes rise fairly regularly as the number of carbon atoms in the compound increase. This holds good only for normal compounds, and the difference in b.p.s decreases as the higher homologues are reached.
n-hexane (b.p.690c) ,n-heptane (b.p. 980c)

Heptane has higher bpt, because of its higher molecular weight, which enhance the Vander waal's forces of attraction between the atoms.
