react soda lime with benzoic acid to get benzene and then react benzene with CH3Cl in presence of AlCl3 to get Toluene...PhCOOH + NaOH(CaO) ---> Ph-H (DECARBOXYLATION)Ph-H + CH3Cl (AlCl3) ---> Ph-CH3 (FRIEDEL CRAFTS ALKYLATION)

React soda lime with benzoic acid to get benzene and then react benzene with CH3Cl in presence of AlCl3 to get Toluene...
