Cis. Because of intramolecular hydrogen bonding.

Reason ? What abt intramolecular H bonding ? Steric > H-bonding ?

trans is more stable coz in cis, dere is repulsion btw the adjacen - OH gps which r very close. dat is not in trans.

if both substituents r shown with same line , its cis
and if one with dark and other with dashed line , its trans !!!

if there will be cis trans configuration then the molecule will relatively be destabilized than it ad been palnar.
i would rather bet on it being planar so as to facilitate resonance

It has to b a plane line, it cannot b a dashed or dotted line.....

The carbon is sp2 hybridised and hence planar.......

It may have sm other thing to do with but wat u're sayin is surely wrong.....

i just got confused with benzene and cyclohexane !
does that mean that there is no cis-trans in benzene ?????
