HOW T CONVRT ANILINE TO 4 BROMO ANILINE????

theres a small concept involved here...firstly u have to do acetylation for converting aniline into NHCOCH3.......then u can do bromination........in the case of aniline if u do bromination u will get a 2,4,6 product coz aniline is highly activating........but on acetylsing the lone on nitrogen will be in conjugation with oxygen..........

how can it be meta director..........i said it lone pair is in conjugation with oxygen but that doesnt make it meat directing..........its just that the activating effect has reduced......

u understood it..ok...........anilinium ion is meta directing coz it has lost its lone pair........due to it has a positive charge and thus tries to with draw the bond from the ring to stabilize it...hence its meta directing......got it
