can we distiunguish aniline frm another compound by using bromine water test..
r is it better to differentiate it by mentioning diazodisation...?

well....i think diazotisation is preferable coz, bromine water test doesnt exactly give a test that can distinguish amines frm other func grps.......

ya aniline,phenol and other compounds having their ring activated respond bromine water test so diazotisation is preferable...!

only aniline and phenol react with bromine water right ? so theres nothing wrong with doin it ??

i thi nk we can coz on treating bromine with aniline.....a tri bromo product is obtained which gives us a white precipitate

and well....wat will be the color wid d other compund.....we shud be able to distinguish b/w both and for dat we wud have to learn all the colors we wud get wid diff compunds!!
