ya man isnt treating with NBS supposed to mean that the bromin comes at the alpha positon wrt to double bond..........so doesnt c match with p

Karthik can you explain "A" part. Won't it lead to poly substitution. 
Also bromine water will generate HOBr which will add to double bond so why Br2 is getting added?

HOBr is the species generated no doubt, but the electrophile here is Br+ and not OH+. That answers your first query.
Now, the group attached to the phenyl ring is only weakly activating, hence, you wont get a poly brominated compound.
