Does FeCl3 reacts with all carboxylic acids ya only with acetic acid??

 FeCl3 test is actually for phenolic OH group. However, it has been observed that it rreacts with carboxylic acids to form coloured ppts. due to formation of ferric salts of carboxylic acids.
