i dunno exactly but i know for sure that an atom cannot have more than one OH radical becuz then it becomes unstable....u have to remove a water molecule from it and then u r left with either a ketone or a aldehyde....i may be wrong but on the whole......the fact remains true

Hi Adarsh
Sorry for the delay.
PCl5 is a good dehydrating agent. So it replaces all the OH groups in glucose. The aldehydic group is untouched.
Reason for this is observed by drawing the Ring structure, The pyranose ring.
And hence the OH groups are replacable.
